Teach Your Art
Teach Your Art is coming back to County Durham for Summer in the City!
The Creative Fuse NE team at Durham University is excited to relaunch its ‘Teach Your Art’ module this summer as part of the Summer in the City Festival! Teach Your Art helps creative practitioners design (or redesign), develop, test, and deliver creative workshops both online and in person.
We will not only teach you best practice in workshop development, but also provide you with a supportive environment and a modest budget and space (online and in person) to test and get feedback on these workshops with students and the wider public at the end of the course. We don’t teach you what to teach (you’re the content experts!); we equip you with the confidence and knowledge to design and teach your content to the public, helping you get your work out there. We’ve run this programme since 2018 and it’s been very successful and helpful for creatives across the NE in developing new opportunities and income.
11 artists & creative practitioners from across the county are participating, from Durham City, Hamsterley, Shildon, Bishop Auckland and Hartlepool.
A public event will be available in late autumn! Watch this space for more information.
